Summary of Position

The Director is responsible for the strategic development of the technology used to support Cornell Norcal’s mission. This includes awareness of emerging technologies that could support club transactions and activities. The Director manages maintenance, periodic updates and improvements to existing technologies including the Cornellnorcal.com website. The director is responsible for working with other board members to ensure Cornell NorCal’s technology tools support the overall strategies of the organization as it pertains to membership development, event processing and data exchange with Cornell University.

Ensure the security of both club and alumni personal and financial data. Maintain documentation of passwords and processes. Documentation should enable handoff of processes to another board member in case of need.

Troubleshoot performance and design issues with the website. Ensure backup of data stored on technology sites on regular basis and has a yearly disaster recovery test.
