General Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice to the club.

Assist with amending and revising club bylaws as necessary. Review and comment on draft contracts that the club may be considering executing. Prepare release / waiver of liability / assumption of all risks agreements where necessary and appropriate for certain club events or activities.

Lead/Manage/Serve

Serve on a Committee or Board
Evaluate insurance issues that may impact the club’s operations and provide coverage analyses as appropriate. Advise regarding compliance with applicable law and the club’s bylaws. Assist with federal and state filings as required.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Mentor
Represent Cornell
Advise regarding potential hazards and liability risks in connection with the club’s events, activities and communications. Provide ad hoc legal advice regarding general matters that may arise from time to time in connection with the club’s operations.
