Summary of Position

The PCCW Grants Committee annually administers PCCW grant funds to Cornell students, staff, and faculty in support of PCCW's mission to advance the causes of women and nonbinary persons. Awards are granted across three grant programs: Microgrants (supporting student projects up to $1,000), Affinito-Stewart grants (supporting junior faculty seeking tenure) and Leadership grants (supporting leadership initiatives across campus). Note: This committee requires a significant time commitment throughout the academic year. Members are expected to review all grant applications (average 15-25 per grant) received across three grant cycles as well as attend a number of training and decision meetings.

Other Meeting Details: The Grants Committee meets once a year at the PCCW Symposium. Conference calls via technology in the fall (Introductory call, review and selection of Microgrant proposals), winter (Review and selection of Leadership Grant proposals) and spring (Review and selection of Affinito-Stewart Grant proposals).

Additional Attendance Requirements: Attend the annual PCCW Symposium. The Symposium may be held on the Cornell Ithaca campus or another location off campus, at the discretion of the Steering Committee.
