Summary of Position

Reunion-year alumni of the College of Veterinary Medicine (for 2023, classes ending in 3 or 8) are eligible to self-nominate for the position of Reunion Class Social Chair. Social Chairs provide leadership for their respective classes by encouraging attendance of peers, assist with planning and coordinating your class dinner and special class events. Chairs work with Alumni Affairs & Development staff members Lyn LaBar (5th - 50th reunion classes) & Jill Beebe (55th+ reunion classes).

Write and/or Edit
Review class list. Communicate (via email, social media posts, letters, and/or calls) with class members to provide information about Reunion. Work with Vet College Alumni Affairs staff to plan.

Lead a Group
Manage Projects
Provide leadership for your cohort in planning your class Reunion dinner; collaborate with the Vet College Alumni Affairs staff; provide feedback to staff.

Encourage classmates to visit the College of Veterinary Medicine Reunion website; contact classmates about events and programs and encourage attendance

Requirements

Prerequisites 1. Comfort using email, making phone calls, writing letters, or utilizing social media channels to encourage classmates to attend Reunion and convey information on College and University events. 2. Ability to work with confidential information. 3. Willingness to work collaboratively with peers, fellow volunteers, and College staff, (if necessary, caterers or restaurants). 4. Ability to attend Reunion or identify designated volunteer to attend.
