Summary of Position

The Affinity Chair plays an integral role in coordinating the class efforts to increase alumni engagement with the university. The Affinity Chair is responsible for working with the Class President and fellow officers on preparing an outreach plan for the class that is affinity-based, identifying an affinity committee comprised of classmates and class council members, and providing messaging and resources to the affinity committee for their outreach efforts.

The Affinity Outreach chair may be responsible for creating template letters and emails for committee members to use. The Affinity Chair may speak to/communicate with the membership of various affinity groups to encourage class and university participation.

This person is responsible for the creation and implementation of the affinity outreach program and is the point person charged with overseeing the activity of the affinity group team.
