Summary of Position

The Cornell Annual Fund Representative, in partnership with Volunteer Giving Initiatives staff, provides leadership on class-based philanthropic support of Cornell. Through personal class-specific stewardship, education, and solicitation efforts, the Cornell Annual Fund Representative advocates for the annual funds and encourages all classmates to give back to Cornell every year.

The Cornell Annual Fund Representative, in coordination with Volunteer Giving Initiatives, edits and approves solicitation messages that will be sent out to classmates. They also incorporate giving messaging into other class platforms, social media, and other communications.

Serve on a Committee or Board
The Cornell Annual Fund Representative is responsible for the overall fundraising of the class and for keeping the Class President and council members informed of class and university progress. They will actively work to get each member of their council to make a gift every year.

Build/Maintain Relationships

Engage Individuals
The Cornell Annual Fund Representative contacts classmates who have given gifts to Cornell thanking them for their support. They will also assist in leading our peer-to-peer participation drives. Through their work in these areas, will identify classmates with potential for volunteering and/or leadership giving now, or in the next Reunion campaign.
