Summary of Position

The Cornell Club of Ithaca (CCI) seeks volunteers from the Ithaca, NY area to serve on its Board of Directors. CCI is a dues-free alumni organization. Board members are responsible for the general control and management of the club. The main purpose of CCI is to support Cornell’s mission, build community, and drive peer-to-peer engagement among members of the Cornell community in the Ithaca, NY area. There is a minimal time commitment involved. Typical responsibilities include planning volunteering and social events and attending Board meetings. Leadership opportunities will most likely open up over the next few years (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Security).

CCI manages a website, a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and an Instagram account. We are always looking for communications and marketing help from tech-savvy alumni and Board members. Board members may be asked to represent CCI at various events to greet and welcome attendees, thank the organizers, recognize the speakers, etc.
