Summary of Position

The Chair of the Engagement Committee is also a member of the Cornell University Council Administrative Board. The Chair is expected to inform and deliver the outcomes outlined in the Engagement Committee work plan. The Chair shares the university message (formally, informally or through social media) on a monthly basis and increases the overall participation in engagement opportunities available.

Promote the Engagement Committee to the Administrative Board and Council members. Review and share feedback and share with appropriate university staff and the Administrative Board. Share the university message (formally, informally or through social media) on a monthly basis.

Serve on a Committee or Board
Lead, coordinate and implement the Engagement Committee’s timeline of activities. Work directly with Administrative Board members on programming and execution of various aspects of engagement, particularly identifying ways to increase un-engaged alumni participation.

Collaborate with university staff and Administrative Board members to ensure that the Engagement Committee is fulfilling the needs of the university administration and AAD strategic plan.
