Summary of Position

The Chair of the Nominating Committee oversees a group of appointed Administrative Board elected members to review, vote on, and recommend an annual slate of nominees for officer positions (chair and vice chair) and elected member positions (Council members entering the second year of their second term, as well as Council members of diverse ethnicities regardless of Council tenure) to serve on the Cornell University Council Administrative Board.

Provides frequent updates to the Administrative Board on committee deliberations, and presents the slate to the Administrative Board in April for review and action.

Develops, implements, and oversees the committee's work plan, which consists of committee members reviewing nominee bios, submitting votes by ballot, and deliberating to finalize a slate over a two to three-month period in the spring.
