Summary of Position

The Chair of the Mentoring committee will lead and support the mentoring program for new Cornell University Council (CUC) members and provide them with opportunities to engage with other Council members. The Chair will also collaborate with university leaders to review ways to enhance the promotion of volunteer opportunities through CUVolunteer and CUeLINKS to Council members. Lastly, the chair is also a member of the Cornell University Council Administrative Board and oversees the Mentoring committee.

The Chair will communicate and delegate tasks that provide support and relevance to CUVolunteer and CUeLINKS. The Chair will also provide verbal and written updates on the work of the committee at Administrative Board meetings and with university leaders. Lastly, the Chair will consult and ensure that the work of the subcommittees directly align with the university’s priorities.
