Summary of Position

Administrative Board elected members are one of five board groups that manage the operations of the Council. The other groups are officers, trustee members, faculty members, and ex officio members. Administrative Board elected members manage the operations of the Council by serving on Administrative Board committees/groups, defining and contributing to new initiatives, and actively participating in meetings. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, Administrative Board elected members are expected to vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

Administrative Board elected members actively contribute to Administrative Board conversations before, during and after meetings. They encourage Council members-at-large to attend Trustee-Council Annual Meeting (TCAM), participate in the Ambassador program, nominate new members, and financially support the university on an annual basis.

Serve on a Committee or Board
Administrative Board elected members serve on at least one of the Administrative Board committees. They attend meetings, contribute ideas, identify responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Administrative Board members may be asked to lead a subcommittee of their assigned committee.

Administrative Board elected members welcome and orient new members-at-large to the Cornell University Council, as well as represent the Administrative Board at Cornell University functions as necessary.
