Summary of Position

The Vice Chair of the Engagement Committee is also a member of the Cornell University Council Administrative Board. The Vice-Chair is expected to inform and deliver the outcomes outlined in the Engagement Committee work plan and increases the overall participation in engagement opportunities available to alumni.

Promote the Engagement Committee to the Administrative Board and Council members. The Vice Chair will assist in the development and implementation of university-wide communications; including the Council newsletter distributed 2x per year.

The Vice chair will brainstorm and help implement strategies for Council members to support the university’s priority to engage 200,000 unique alumni.
