Summary of Position

The Elected member of the Mentoring committee is a member of the Cornell University Council Administrative Board, and will support and collaborate with university leaders to encourage Council participation in CUVolunteer and CUeLINKS. In addition the Elected Member will support the work of onboarding and mentoring new members and the continuous engagement of members who are offboarding.

The Elected Member will participate in drafting written materials/communications for new members and their mentors for Cornell University Council. In addition, the Elected Member will review materials for the promotion of CUeLINKS as needed.

The Elected Member will help facilitate interactions with new members and their mentors. In addition, the Elected Member will support the promotion of CUeLINKS to peers and other groups.

The Elected member will help recruit and identify mentors for members and implement the mentoring program for (1) new members and (2) members completing the 4th year of their term. In addition, they will actively represent Cornell and Cornell University Council to various groups and networks.
