Summary of Position

Members partner with the Director of Volunteer Orientation and Training in the Office of Volunteer Programs to provide guidance on the creation of a volunteer curriculum, as well as an onboarding program for all new volunteers of the University. In addition members will explore changes and learning opportunities for the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference. Additionally, as a volunteer for Cornell University, vote in Cornell's annual alumni trustee election.

All members are expected to participate in Task Force meetings and maintain communication with other members throughout the year.

Members may be tapped to lead one of the ad-hoc groups, which means recruiting, motivating, and managing talented volunteers; leading conference calls or webinars; working closely with staff; setting project goals; measuring impact; and reporting results back to the Task Force.

Additional expertise may be needed, in which case Board Members may facilitate conversations with additional industry experts, subject-matter specialists, and/or experienced volunteers.
